Creation of a new Linac Suite which is adjacent and connected to the existing London Radiotherapy Center at LGR Guy’s Borough Wind. Local alterations were also made to improve the flow such as:
- Complete strip-out and reconfiguration of the existing support space to provide a control room, quiet office with up to four workstations, WC and change cubicle.
- Redesign / relocation of existing services to maximise ceiling height to allow enough clearance for a new Linac scanner to be installed.
- Relocation of the existing cleaner’s cupboard to increase its size and provide a more prominent patient sub-wait area to serve the existing and new Linac scanners.
- Reconfiguration of the existing Manager’s Office to accommodate space for a small meeting area and enhanced storage space.
